Rental Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern all short term rentals by ResortQuest Myrtle Beach (agent). Rental agreements may be terminated by the agent or client at any time after satisfying any cancellation policies and complying with any laws that may apply. Any funds received by agent under the rental agreement shall be applicable to cancellation policies. While such funds are in the agent’s possession any earnings derived from these funds shall belong to the agent.

Agent is not responsible for errors or omissions. Agent will make every effort to provide up to date and accurate information on its web site and in any print advertising but will not assume any liability for errors. All information including rates and rental terms and conditions are subject to change at any time. Client will receive confirmation via email or standard mail. It shall be the client’s responsibility to check for errors on the confirmation. Client will not hold agent liable for any reservation errors.

Reservations: Agent accepts reservations by phone and online. All rentals are on a nightly or weekly basis depending on the property and there are no set arrival or departure days except on weekly rentals which are Saturday to Saturday. Minimum stay requirements vary depending on property and season.

Rates: Rates, fees and taxes are subject to change without notice.

Deposit: Reservations require a deposit equal to 1/2 of the total rental amount before tax, a 6% processing fee and full payment of travel protection insurance (optional) payment will be due at the time the reservation is made. The remainder of the total balance including tax will be due 60 days prior to arrival. Reservations made within 60 days of arrival will require full payment.

Reservation Fee: Each reservation will include a 6% processing fee. The fee is calculated on the rental rate only. The fee applies to each separate reservation even if multiple reservations are booked simultaneously. The fee is subject to state and local tax.

Methods of Payment: We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards. A credit card is required to secure reservations online and by phone.

Cancellations: Reservation deposits are non-refundable. We strongly suggest purchasing our travel protection insurance in case your travel plans change.

If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds will be given unless:

  • The Governor of South Carolina orders mandatory evacuation in the exact area the reserved property is located.
  • Refunds will only be issued for nights that the evacuation order is in place.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellation prior to an official mandatory evacuation order or during a voluntary evacuation order.
  • No refunds will be issued for cancellation of unused portions of vacations that are not used once the evacuation order is lifted.

Travel Protection Insurance: Optional Travel Protection Insurance is available for purchase.

Rental Unit Damage Protection : Most rental properties require Damage Protection Insurance provided by CSA Travel Protection. This policy will cover minor damages that may occur during your stay. If renting multiple units, insurance must be purchased for each unit. This insurance covers unintentional damages to the rental unit interior that occur during your stay, provided that they are disclosed to management prior to check-out. The $25 policy will cover up to $500 in unintentional damage. Any damages that exceed $500 or damages that are not reported or deemed intentional will be charged to the credit card on file. This insurance is required on most properties and is available for purchase on all rental properties up to, and upon arrival. By submitting payment for this reservation, you authorize and request CSA Travel Protection and Insurance Services to pay directly to ResortQuest any amount payable under the terms and conditions of the Rental Unit Damage Protection Policy.<br><br>
Check-In & Check-Out: Check-in is between 3:00 pm & 7:00 pm. Office hours are from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm and will be extended for high volume periods. Arrangements will be made for late arrivals. Please call for late arrival instructions during regular office hours. Check-out time is before 10:00 am.
Reporting Damage: Please note any damage to the rental unit upon your arrival and report it immediately to our office to avoid possible liability. If any loss occurs during your stay, you must notify us immediately in order for the Rental Unit Damage Protection to apply. We inspect every rental unit after each guest's departure; if unreported loss or damage is discovered after your stay we will charge your credit card. Do not be afraid to report damage, this is why you have the protection plan!

Check-In & Check-Out: Check-in is between 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm. Office hours are from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm and will be extended for high volume periods. Arrangements will be made for late arrivals. Please call for late arrival instructions during regular office hours. Check-out time is at 10:00 am.

Age Requirement: The client making the reservation and signing the rental agreement at check in must be 25 years of age or older and must occupy the rental property for the entire term of the rental agreement. Any misrepresentation by the client will be considered a violation of rental terms and conditions and the client will be asked to vacate the rental property without refund. Agent reserves the right to require valid identification before allowing occupancy of the rental property. House parties are not allowed under any circumstances with or without supervision.

Occupancy: All properties are limited to the occupancy listed in the property description.
Occupancy may not exceed set limits including children. Over occupancy will result in additional fees charged to client’s credit card. If over occupancy is considered in violation of any law or fire code agent will require client to secure additional accommodations or vacate the property without refund.

Availability: In the event that a property becomes unavailable for any reason, agent will make every effort to move client to comparable accommodations. If comparable accommodations are not available, agent will be held harmless and the client agrees that its only remedy shall be a full refund of any monies paid. If the property should become unavailable during occupancy and comparable accommodations are not available, agent will be held harmless and client agrees that its only remedy shall be a refund for the unused portion of their stay only.

Housekeeping: Our rentals do not include daily maid service. Each unit has a washer & dryer for your convenience. Agent does not require client to perform any housekeeping duties prior to departure. Departure cleaning, and a supply of linens and towels are included in the rental rate unless otherwise noted.

Pets: Pets are not allowed in any ResortQuest Myrtle Beach property.

Parking: Parking is limited. All condo reservations are limited to 2 vehicles per unit, no exceptions. 2 parking passes will be issued at check-in, vehicles without a parking pass are subject to be towed at owner's expense. Parking at houses is limited to the number of vehicles that the property will accommodate. Parking on the grass or street at homes is not allowed. Motorcycle, trailer, RV, boat, camper and bus parking is not available at any ResortQuest Myrtle Beach property.
